Apple Chief in Europe, Middle East & Africa Abruptly Departs
If new reports from overseas are correct, Apple has lost a major power player in its foreign operations.
Le Figaro (a French media outlet) reports that Pascal Cagni has resigned from his lofty post as Apple's vice president of operations - a position that spanned Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
As of this writing, it isn't known why Cagni left, assuming that the news of his departure is, in fact, accurate. CNET also picked up the report, noting that anonymous sources close to the matter are saying Cagni is, indeed, gone.
Cagni has been with Apple since 2000. He was reportedly personally tapped by Steve Jobs for the position he has now held for more than a decade. Before coming to Apple, Cagni was employed by NEC/Packard Bell Europe.
No word as to who may replace Cagni in this very critical position to the company at this time in its massive overseas marketing and sales efforts.

Execs and VP's get let go daily. They are then replaced by other "top" players in the game. No offense but Cagni is not the only exec on the planet haha! These guys are visionaries with teams..no solo missions here. Same with Steve, he had visions and ideas but teams of individuals made them come to life. Lets give the credit where it is due.
