Apple Releases New Beta Build of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion

On Wednesday, Apple gave developers another updated version of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion Developer Preview 3. This, as you know, is the pre-release build of the next major Mac operating system refresh.
The update, or Build 12A206j, is now available for download by registered Mac developers. Although details about the release are still just trickling in, it looks like Apple is telling developers that the MacBook Pro released almost 5 years ago (the mid '07 models) won't be compatible with the new build, although a future update will remedy this glitch.
For now, it appears that only minor performance issues (related to Fast User Switching, the Share menu, etc.) still require moderate tweaking by Apple. But, otherwise, there are no major headaches on the horizon.
As of this writing, the rumor mill suggests that Apple is just days away from raising the curtain on its new MacBook Pros at the WWDC in early June. If so, expected the refreshed Macs to come with Mountain Lion pre-installed this summer.
