German HDTV Maker Loewe Denies Apple Buyout

German HDTV maker Loewe denied rumors that the company was in talks with Apple about a potential buyout.

The rumors surfaced Saturday after and unnamed tipster provided Apple Insider with unconfirmed information claiming that Loewe’s board of directors planned to make a final decision on the Apple acquisition before Friday, May 18.

Loewe responded to the claim by issuing a statement to German website Heise on Sunday stating there is “absolutely nothing to the rumor.

While the direct response seems to disprove AppleInsider’s source’s information, the rumor seemed incredibly plausible. Loewe has been in the television business since 1929 and their current television sets feature a very Apple-esque minimalist design with a price-tag to match.

The rumor gets more believable when considering the rumors last year that Apple nearly bought a stake in LCD panel maker Sharp. Instead Foxconn bought a 10 percent share in the company. Looking a little deeper, Sharp in turn owns a 30 percent share of Loewe.

Apple>Foxconn>Sharpe>Loewe.

It seems plausible. Although, if Loewe is about to be acquired by Apple at least they have enough sense to not comment on unannounced products.

Looks like its just a waist of time because as usual, the overall focus on this board seems to be rumors. However, there are a percentage of articles that are worth reading, even if those articles are usually posted else where first.

This might not be a rumour but a real story! Apple a known for making company's and people they talk too sign contracts to keep their mouths shut and deny everything! Then one day apple admits it took the company over! Lol just a possible point of view!
