Apple Stores in New York to host free events for Tribeca Film Festival
It was recently announced that two New York Apple Stores will be hosting filmmaking events and workshops for the Tribeca Film Festival. They will feature “Meet the Filmmakers” sessions with the likes of Julia Louis Dreyfus, Morgan Spurlock, Will Arnett, and more.
The two stores that will be participating include the Apple store located on West 14th Street and the Apple Store located in SoHo. Both will play host to indie filmmakers that are attending the annual Tribeca Film Festival from April 20 to April 28.
The Cupertino California company, in cooperation with Indiewire, will be presenting the Meet the Filmmakers series throughout the week in which writers, directors, and actors sit down to discuss the films they are presenting at Tribeca as well as future projects. For those of you interested in seeing a full list of attendees and scheduling, you can find the information at Apple’s dedicated site. Most of the series will be taking place at the West 14th Street location.
Along with the panels there will also be workshops called “What’s New in Filmmaking” which will feature Final Cut Pro X classes as well as exploratory lessons with moviemaking on the iPad and more. More information regarding show times for the Tribeca Film Festival can be found at the festival’s official website.
