Apple Logic Express Updated
Logic Express is Apple's premier sound-editing software.
Are you an audiophile who likes to edit audio and make music on computers? Apple's Logic Express might be worth checking out. It's an easy-to-use application software like generally all of Apple's applications that allows you to move sounds around to shift beats and rhythms to make nice home-made music and sounds. The interface may remind you a lot of Garageband, the famous music editing studio that is pre-installed on every new Mac, as it has that appearance that screams Mac-only and music editing.
Today, Logic Express gets an update bringing it to version 9.1.6 which fixes stability of the application and additionally makes it run zippier and fixes some minor issues. The change log for Logic Express version 9.1.6 can be read here from Apple's Web Site. You can see that a whole handful of problems were fixed, making the software as elegant to use as ever. The update addresses audio problems, plugin problems, compatibility, stability, and performance.
I've never personally used Apple's Logic applications, however from personal experiences, Apple makes great multimedia applications and if I had the extra $200 to toss around, I would certainly give Logic a try. Apple's multimedia applications are generally built off of easy-to-use drag and drop interfaces with simple tools and quick load times.
The update only grounds users of Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Mac OS X Lion users at a download size of 140.1MB. Logic Express costs $199 and can be downloaded from the Mac App Store from this link.

I'm so confused with Apple's marketing/branding of the new logic software. Logic Pro 9, and Logic Express appear to be the same thing on Apple's website. Logic Pro 9 is in the Mac App Store, but there is no Logic Express. Guh, Apple's press release made this oddly confusing. Still, Logic Pro, the same Logic that used two cost three times as much is only $199. Definitely a steal for those who want more of a "pro" feel and professional options than Garage Band.

Logic is my favorite DAW. Many people find it very hard to use and confusing. Especially Fl Studio users. To me, logic is the cleanest and most powerful DAW out there. I have used Fl Studio, Reason, Ableton and Pro Tools. I can't wait for Logic 10 (X).
