Default Apple's Grand Central Terminal StoreTo Open 10 AM Friday

Apple officially posted its Grand Central retail store page today where the company formally announced the 10:00 AM grand opening schedule for Friday, December 9th. The official address for the store is marked as 45 Grand Central Terminal New York, NY 10017. One of the more interesting things about the store are the business hours. Since the store is located in the Grand Central Terminal, business hours will be flowing with the terminalís hours of operations.

Unlike many other stores, this particular Apple store will open at 7 AM on Monday-Friday to accommodate commuters (just one hour after the terminalís 6 AM opening). The weekend will be much more relaxed as the store will open at 10 AM on Saturdays and 11 AM on Sundays. Closing time on the weekdays is 9 PM, probably in lieu of the fact that most commuters go home from work by that time, despite the terminal closing at 12 AM. Weekend closing times are 7 PM on Saturdays and 6 PM on Sundays. The holiday hours for the store line up with the regular store business hours (which can be seen below) and the first workshops at the new location will begin on Monday, December 12th.

Apple is said to pay approximately $1.1 million per year in rent for the large space which is a value well below market rates for retail space in the terminal and the more general Manhattan real estate market. The State of New York is investigating the dealís terms, but the Metropolitan Transportation Authority insists that the company received a good price for the space. Either way, Apple is about to see it's most profitable store yet (with a projected income of $100 million annually) according to many.
