Unfortunately, half of 14 is below the minimum wage. A job at that wage would also net about $1180 a month before taxes. That's an average week for most Americans.

Look at fast food. Do you wonder why they can't get a burger order right? They make $10,000 a year. Not much incentive to care about their job.
