E.R. Co-Stars Competing for Role of Steve Jobs in Sony Biopic

While Sony Pictures has been busy courting Aaron Sorkin to pen the screenplay for the coming Steve Jobs biopic, it appears two former E.R. stars are busy making their case for the role of Jobs in the film.
Former E.R. star Noah Wyle has already expressed his interest in reprising the role of Steve Jobs whom he played in the 1999 made-for-TV movie Pirates of Silicon Valley. However, according to British Magazine NOW another fellow E.R. Star, George Clooney, has thrown his hat into the Jobs mix.
I’m not sure how I’d feel about Clooney in role of Steve Jobs, but if Sony can secure Sorkin the only question marks left regarding the movie will be the leading man and the director. A competent script from say a Sorkin, and someone like David Fincher behind the camera would be intriguing. But, Fincher would most likely pass on the project after the success of his similarly topical The Social Network.George Clooney, 50, is battling it out with his former ER co-star Noah Wyle, 40, to play Apple founder Steve Jobs in a new movie.
The biopic, which is expected to start filming next year, will chart the life of the techie guru, who died last month from cancer at the age of 56.— NOW
Maybe we’re all missing the obvious here: A Woody Allen written, directed, and acted Steve Jobs biopic.

Yeah well Jesse Eisenburg didn't look like Mark Zuckerberg either, and that movie was a huge success.
I just wanna know who they'll pick for Woz.
If we are going by looks. I think Ashton Kutcher would be a great young Jobs. But his performance wouldn't be very good at all. And i'm sick of LaBeouf.

What half-decent actor does? Have you seen movies that were heavily based on true stories that show the actual person they were based on somewhere in the credits? The actor looks almost nothing like the person he/she was based on in the vast majority of these movies. I'd rather have a decent actor than a body double who's acting puts me to sleep.

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

After reading the Biography, they need an actor who can play complete arsehole 90% of the time to 90% of the people he meets. My opinion of Steve Jobs as a person has crashed since reading the book. I still admire his business success though.

Patrick Dempsey. He sounds just like Jobs, resembles him when he has beard stubble. Just give him a Jobs hair style and glasses....

You know what's funny about this article is that this photo isn't from E.R. at all. It's from an episode of friends.

I don't think it's nearly as much about the looks as it's about the personality, demeanour and character and I think Noah will do a good job as he has done it but I think he can naturally relate to it from what I have seen from him.
