Apple Releases A Number Of Software Updates
Apple recently has been hard at work providing software updates for their products and they seem to be at it again. This time, Apple has released firmware updates for the AirPort Base Station and Time Capsule, Camera RAW, and MacBook Pro.
The AirPort Base Station and Time Capsule have been recently updated to version 7.6. The new update provides a fix for an issue with performance on overlapping networks, AirPlay audio streaming, and configuration of multiple entries for DNS servers.
Apple released the Digital Camera RAW Compatability Update 3.9, which brings cameras with RAW support to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11. The full list of camera which are supported can be found below:
• Canon PowerShot S100
• Nikon 1 J1
• Nikon 1 V1
• Nikon COOLPIX P7100
• Olympus PEN E-PL1s
• Olympus PEN E-PL3
• Olympus PEN E-PM1
• Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ150
• Sony Alpha NEX-5N
• Sony Alpha SLT-A65
• Sony Alpha SLT-A77
Last but not least, the MacBook Pro has been updated to firmware version 1.5, which features a fix for random shutdown issues. Many users previously were reporting issues where their MacBook Pros would randomly shut down if under a high load.
It seems like Apple’s really trying to please their customers as this was all updated along with iOS 5.0.1 for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. It’s nice to see such frequent support for the products you buy. Did you upgrade your Apple software recently? If so, share your experience below!

-An issue with performance on overlapping wireless networks -An issue with AirPlay audio streaming <<<Sweet hopefully this fixes the problem of having 3 AirPort express with the same SSDI Wireless name, and the airplay streaming audio drops out as you walk around the house. I gave them all unique names for now until the problems were addressed. (it would flip flop often when halfway between two) I hope this is what they are talking about! Time to test! ~~EDIT ! It works! I can run around my WHOLE HOME with 3 AirPort expresses and my AirPlay streaming music from my iPhone 4S is rock solid. (no more drop outs, sweet) Apple Engineers rock!!!!
