Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 And Premiere Elements 10 Released In Mac App Store

Adobe first entered the Mac App Store with the release of Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 Editor in July. This version was a slightly scaled-down version of the company’s consumer image editing application. Adobe had been working on Photoshop Elements 10 for quite some time and earlier today released not only the Mac App Store version of Photoshop Elements 10 Editor (App Store), but also a Premiere Elements 10 Editor (App Store). Both are now available on the Mac App Store for $79.99 each.
Much like the earlier Photoshop Elements release for the Mac App Store, the new release doesn’t include the Elements Organizer functionality and doesn’t support case-sensitive HFS+(HSFX) volumes. The Premiere Elements 10 Editor also doesn’t support the SmartSound capabilities found in the full version. Furthermore, current Photoshop Elements 9 Editor users should note that the new version 10 is a separate application, therefore it won’t be available as a free upgrade.
As with most version updates, there are many functionality improvements, some of which include:
You can find some screenshots below:New Facebook features allow you to auto analyze your images to identify people and tag them based on your Facebook friends. Those tags are then carried over to Facebook when uploading from Elements. A new object-based search is one of the most impressive enhancements, allowing you to find images containing a particular object such as a house or vehicle.
Other features include auto enhance and color correct for video footage, allowing you to “Automatically boost tone and vibrance without affecting skin tones, or use sliders to adjust color with complete control”. You can now also paint 1 of 100 new paint effects onto specific photo areas, add new text effects, and immediately upload video clips to Facebook and Youtube. Learn more about all the new features in these latest releases here.

So, will you be getting the updated version of the software? Or do you think you’ll be passing? Share any thoughts below!

So other than the Object based search and Facebook integration, there is Really no need to upgrade from 9 just so you can see 10 instead. *rolls eyes* Adobe's the worst.
