The thing is, it still needs your permission to gain access to the system. Thus, trojan (as stated in the article), not virus.

Oh no, another Mac Trojan I actually have to install to work!
Seriously though, one day while browsing an ummmm "adult video" site, I was prompted to update my flash player. Like an idiot I did... After no adobe screen came up I figured I'd been duped. I had to download a Mac antivirus. It was weird!
