    I'm still using my MacBook Pro 3,1 from mid 2007. Other than having a loose display ribbon it works flawlessly. I still prefer the style of mine to the new unibody ones. At the rate I'm going with this one, I could probably get another 5 years out of the hardware before I upgraded, but I'm sure software support will end long before I experience a hardware failure.

    All this fan boy chat, gotta love it. Fact remains A refresh doesn't make your computer less powerful, slower, etc. If you agree with the value, which you should if your buying a computer of the price. You shouldn't be discouraged I see the point of waiting but it's the cycle of life. Especially an apple life. There will AlWAYS be an update/refresh.
