It's double duty for Apple Friday as the Mac maker has begun seeding to developers both a new beta build of Mac OS X 10.7.2, and iCloud for Lion beta 9.

As testing presumably continues on the last beta builds, which were seeded only a few short days ago, devs we should anticipate no known issues with Lion 10.7.2 - also known as build 11C43. Developers are being encouraged to focus on AirPort, AppKit, GraphicsDrivers, iCal, iChat, the Mac App Store, Mail, Spotlight and Time Machine.

Not withstanding the "no known issues" prompt, Apple is sticking to its usual tagline and warning devs, as always, that this pre-release build should be kept off any machine vital for the operation of their business.

Just over one month ago, Apple unleashed Lion through the Mac App Store to a phenomenal debut. More than one million copies were sold on the first day of availability. Downloading accelerated across the following four weeks and, based on industry analysis, even lit a fire beneath the release of refreshed MacBook Airs and Mac Minis.
