Dev Team Will Miss the Coolest Cat
The jailbreak community is nearly as old as the iPhone itself. From day one tinkerers were trying to unlock and impose their will on the "locked down" nature of iOS merely because of necessity. There was no App Store yet.
It seems fitting that the people at the forefront of this movement bid Steve Jobs a very cool, and very fitting farewell. The Tom and Jerry picture above was posted along with this:
The coolest cat. We loved the chase! Good luck, Steve. Signed, Jailbreakers and tinkerers everywhere.
Extremely well-informed sources at Apple say he intends to remain involved in developing major future products and strategy and intends to be an active chairman of the board, even while new CEO Tim Cook runs the company day to day.

It sounded good with him gone we could finally get an iphone that the people want but if hes still got something to do with it then I guess we will still need to jailbreak it.

I think Cook will Make Jobs Proud. After all Cook is 50 & Jobs is 56 when he stepped down SO...maybe in 6yrs we'll see where Apple is.

I think Cook will handle things just as Steve has because he has been by Steve's side for many years.

Steve Jobs name wasn't even heard of? Who do you think founded Apple and annonced the iPhone and iPads? Most of us have known Steve Jobs since the 1970/1980sHe who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

I always thought Jobs was so cool compared to Bill Gates... Loved the jeans, turtle neck and un shaved face!
