This is like Bill Gates resigning and saying he wants to be a security guard for Microsoft now.

first of all no company like apple or microsoft would have "security guards". they hire companies who specialize in security. apple is good at apple products secuirty firms are good at security services. clear? now as for your conclusion about wanting to be an apple employee, maybe he wants to be exactly whay he said "an employee" not a secuirty guard. an apple employee is as broad as you can get, and yet somehow you have managed to suggest the one job that steves statement does not include. wow. facepalm

Funny how you guys are all suckin up to this guy now (because you think he's dying for the most part.) For years now people have trashed this guy on here about the "control freak issues", pricing and other things, now people are being two faced and feel they need to come here and cry about his depature?

Gag me with a spoon already... I for one am glad to see the guy leave, he's a total control freak not to mention a rip off artist by pricing his products at the ridiculous prices that they are. Talk about making a profit per product...you people are not helping either by buying the ****!

Who is sucking up? Who is two faced? People who've trashed him are the same people as you. Maybe you're two faced? You're on an APPLE FANSITE and you're trashing the very person who founded it. People may not agree with how he ran things or how much his products cost, but I will state again he revolutionized the world. He's given the world the gift of technology, just as Gates has.

And as for being a rip off artist....You don't think $400 for a 62GB TOUCH SCREEN IPOD is fair enough? Especially one that is BRAND NAME? Not to mention that brand is a multi-billion dollar company...

Control freak too? Let's remember one thing about jailbreaks: THEY RUN OFF OF EXPLOITS WITHIN THE IOS. EXPLOITS THAT CAN BE USED WITH MALICIOUS INTENT.
