Authorized Steve Jobs Biography Scheduled for November 21st Release

If you feared having to wait until spring of 2012 to read the long-awaited authorized Steve Jobs biography, you're in luck. It now appears that the release date has been pushed back significantly.

As of Monday morning, Barnes & Noble is advertising "Steve Jobs: A Biography" for availability beginning November 21st, 2011. What we now know of the project is that the book is a fairly sizable 448 pages long and contains interviews with more than three dozen people (family, friends, colleagues) close to the iconic Apple chief.

Although Jobs reportedly exerted no authority over the contents of the book, it doesn't sound as though he's worried about too many revelations surfacing in this much-hyped biography. "I’ve done a lot of things I’m not proud of, such as getting my girlfriend pregnant when I was 23 and the way I handled that," Jobs said in regard to the book. "But I don’t have any skeletons in my closet that can’t be allowed out."

The author of the book is Walter Isaacson, the best-selling wordsmith behind modern classic biographies of the likes of Benjamin Franklin and Albert Einstein.
