Apple Now Owns iPods.com, Still Takes You to Creepy MP3 Site

Apple's complaint filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization requesting the domain "www.ipods.com" be turned over to them has finally been decided and ownership will soon be transferred to Apple.
iPods.com was registered to someone other than Apple a couple months after the first iPod launched way back before the dawn of time.* However, Apple only recently filed a complaint asking that the domain be handed over to them. Apple has previously paid out the ears for domains like the $4.5million they spat out for iClouds.com.
This time though, Apple may acquire the domain dirt cheap. Apple filed a complaint with the WIPO citing violations of the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy which reads as follows:
Apparently WIPO felt whoever owned iPods.com was in fact cyber squatting. Which I would consider true since typing in iPods.com into your web browser reroutes you to the MP3 download website equivalent of a meth dealer.Under the policy, most types of trademark-based domain-name disputes must be resolved by agreement, court action, or arbitration before a registrar will cancel, suspend, or transfer a domain name. Disputes alleged to arise from abusive registrations of domain names (for example, cybersquatting) may be addressed by expedited administrative proceedings that the holder of trademark rights initiates by filing a complaint with an approved dispute-resolution service provider.
*I'm fully aware the dawn of time did not occur 9 years ago when the iPod launched. Or am I......

like i said in the article which reported apps has more money than the gov. apple's trying to take over the world. or i could just be psychotic to think this. besides, if apple took over the world, this site and everyone on it would be stopped and arrested. besides, that site is truly creepy.

Creepy? It's just one of those generic filler websites that can be seen millions of times over on the net, usually if you mis-spell the website.

Why is it creepy? and why should apple have rights to it. one of the very first things apple or any company should do is register a domain name !!! even I know to do that with my products.
In 1999, I sold lexsis.net to lexis-nexis for only $65K. the deal was not closed until 2006 though. look it up, its public information.| Desktop: Windows 7 | Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 | Tablet: Galaxy Tab 10.1 |
Newest Device: Samsung Galaxy S IV |
