Along with the announcement of Final Cut Pro X on the Mac App store, and the updates to Motion 5 and Compressor 4, Apple updated the support documents for these products, all the while telling early adopters to update to OS X 10.6.8, which would be simple enough, if it were available.

Now, with reports of problems on the new software, it would seem that 10.6.8, a very minor update, should be available very soon, possibly in the next 24 hours. This will almost undoubtedly be the last update to Snow Leopard before the release of Apple's next iteration of OS X, Lion, which is expected to hit the Mac App Store next month.

Users who have updated their software, and have already downloaded Final Cut Pro X (and meet the minimum requirements) should hang on for this update to see if 10.6.8 fixes the early bugs. So, where's the update Apple?
