i dont think its necessarily them "fixing" anything
You have to install this virus personally. If you are stupid enough to install something you clearly didn't download then your stupidity leads to this consequence. Simply don't download applications from an unknown source and you should be fine (this should be practiced on any computer)
Its not Apple's fault you installed a program that is dangerous to your Mac. You can't expect Apple to solve all your problems, sometimes you have to do work yourself.

I took this malware off a MBP yesterday, its three easy steps, took just 2 minutes to get rid of it. So really you'd be wasting your time and money to drive to an Apple retailer to get someone to take it off.
