Sounds like you've got a bad Xbox or crappy Internet. I've never experienced any down time, or lag on any console this generation.
As for crashing and freezing, my MacBook and iPhone have crashed numerous times, my Xbox or Wii have crashed zero times.

Some if the time you will have lag regardless of your internet conenction, specially with crappy games (not the game itself but its servers) like Black ops, sometimes im on the bad end and sometimes im on the good end but its rare to see a fair game either one of the teams has a lag. Ive heard this from Xbox as well as PS3 that is why some of the best game streamers dont play this game. Playing games on your iphone or ipad is cool, but the most popular games like angry birds would be boring playing them on a console with a remote control.

And apple doesnt need game developers because the DONT develop the games themselves, so by bringing these PR people they can push the Activisions and EAs (although they are pretty much onboard already) to release their games to IOS.

Useless for online play? I beg to differ. Might wanna check your Internet/router settings. I've never had a serious problem with lag, even on my gen 1 360. Of course games like reach and black ops will have some due to their popularity. But come on, useless!?!? r u perhaps using dsl?
