Mentioning if a method to get cracked apps is fixed or not doesn't mean you're a pirate. As John explained he is curious to see if the exploit has been fixed, which is a legitimate concern for someone who is against piracy.
Your comment to him implied that you were branding him a pirate, plain and simple. Saying I "interpreted" your comment wrong is just you trying to save face after you jumped to false conclusions.

Let me get this straight...cause youre poor its ok to steal software?
And when someone points this out youre "
".
To be clear...you have stolen software.
He did not put himself above everyone else, he let you know he is honest and law-abiding...and put you below everyone else.
I recommend that the moderator delete all posts referencing cracked apps as I am sure this is not something they wish to condone. If they're gone the conversation will return to its target.Last edited by ZipZapp; 03-22-2011 at 06:22 AM.

In the interest of being clear, downloading software that you are not entitled to is not theft, but copyright infringement. Theft is depriving someone of a physical item. When you download a file, you are obtaining a copy, not taking away an original. The United States Supreme Court actually made such a ruling, so there is precedent to support this.

Stealing software is theft, and illegal piracy of someone else.
Illegal and according to USA Supreme Court, and DMCA exemptions say that
illegal distribution and/or stolen is illegal, and could result of jail and fines of large amounts of money!
TALK ABOUT PIRACY AND CRACKED APPS IS NOT ALLOWED HERE, AND WILL RESULT IN INFRACTIONS! BACK TO THE TOPICCHAZER99

"Stealing software" is taking a package from a store you didn't pay for, whereas downloading or otherwise copying software you are not entitled to is copyright infringement (aka: software pirating.) I do not condone either one, both are illegal, but there is a distinction between them, just as there is between murder and manslaughter, for instance.
