Apple TV Update Delivers NBA League Pass and MLB TV

Not to be lost in the shuffle today among Apple's bustling updates/releases like iOS 4.3 and Safari 5.0.4, Apple TV also received a software update (to version 4.2,) on Wednesday. What we have, among the new features, is the arrival of live streaming games for NBA League Pass and MLB TV subscribers.
Consequently, Apple TV users can now watch all the basketball and baseball their hearts can handle. Of course, both services remain subscription based, just like Netflix, which comes preloaded on Apple TV but requires activation via an existing account. Nonetheless, the fusion of Apple TV with a major sports platform represents a bit of a curve-ball to some users who remain pleasantly surprised by the evolutionary steps of Apple TV.
According to Apple, today's software update also delivers:
Source: Apple- AirPlay for apps: Use AirPlay to wirelessly stream video from apps and Safari on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
- Netflix Dolby Digital 5.1: Enjoy Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound when watching Netflix movies and TV shows
- New slideshow themes: View photos with the new Scrapbook, Photo Mobile, and Holiday Mobile slideshow themes.
- Improved on-screen keyboard: Search and enter names and passwords more easily with the redesigned on-screen keyboard.

I have had nothing but trouble with my ATV gen 2 in the past 2 days. The update has not help much either. All settings are correct and up to date yet it refuses to find anything in my library. I should mention this has only happened since I bought my new MacBook pro.

If the NHL was supported and blackouts weren't an issue, I'd buy one.

This is awe-some!
I don't have an apple tv and I don't watch much sports, but as someone who canceled cable TV about 2 years ago I've eagerly been waiting for more large ticket content providers to move to more pay-per-use models.
$1 episodes were a great start, but available only from a few networks was rough. Adding NBA is awesome (and MLB too I guess).
ESPN3 service would be nice too. They got rid of that move media player and I think just use flash now. Shouldn't be too hard to make a wifi player app.Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible. -- M.C. Escher

Oh it stops. And 90% of the time, once it stops (which is usually about 5 minutes into viewing) it NEVER starts playing again. This even happens when you pause it. It's really bad. And it's not my Internet connection because it's well above what Apple suggests and my PS3 streams flawlessly. I've tried forever to find a fix and there doesn't seem to be one. It seems to be on Apple's end. But a LOT of people are having this issue.
