Just like anything they're trying to evolve. Wether it's is successful only time will tell. Hopefully it won't end up like MTV...from music video to reality garbage.

It's like receiving spam from a site u never visited or shared your email address with. It's annoying and inconvenient

Mock my words, Facebook will end up like MySpace. Using social sites to push content will be the death of it! People log on to socialize with friends and acquaintance. Not to be bothered with ads and the harassing of artist updates.

Opens the door to a new social networking site, Myspace & Facebook are both completely self serving at this point, what used to get me excited only pisses me off now. Don't log in for a couple months and come back only to scratch your head like "W....T.....F..?! WHY!!", why would I want to watch movies on Facebook? Ugh..

You only receive notifications from games or apps or whatever that you sign up for by clicking the allow button when you use a game first day. You play farmville and say yes to notifications thats your problem and your responsibility to turn off.

Thats like complaining that your iOS games and apps are "spamming" you with notifications

I do not like where this is going...movie rentals is not what Facebook was created for. Obviously Zuckerberg can take it where he wants but I don't think it'll go well.

I tried it out today. With all the choices to get this content, I seriously doubt anyone would choose this.

Yeah they were a computer manufacturer that created the iPod. And what better way to advertise a product then by creating a program(iTunes) where you can buy or rent and download content onto your device from your computer.
