Of course not. That is not what I was saying. If you claim you do not need one then go to the download link from apple and try and download.
My point is a few months ago you all slammed a member for trying to get a copy, as well as another for trying to post a link. Seems MMI has re-thought this from the last time and is now encouraging members to do a search for the software... That OBTW is a "private" link for registered and paid Dev's.
Im not complaining, however, I will not post my copy for MMI.

You need a UDID to obtain a copy from Apple, not to install it on your phone. We didn't post a link to the firmware either. Telling people to go out into the vast world of the internetz to get something doesn't break any of our forum rules.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

No one said you didn't need it for install. However, you need it to download the version released to devs. What I was a stating is: any copy is not for the general public. A while back there was an issue about the same subject and a member of MMI was blasted for trying to obtain a copy by asking the question through this site.

Because it is not a live firmware and is in the beta program.
There is not linking to beta software. It will only cause issues for MMi and nobody wants that.
You see how bad HTC and others went after leaked Android software. Apple isn't afraid to do the same with stuff that is in beta.

If you have GM even when final is released and you "check for update" there is none. You're g2g with GM.

Does this have all the swipe motions that were featured in the beta? Or did apple remove this?

I read on Redmondpie you can enable them on iPhone 4. Idk about pad. Apple said it was just for devs to see how it worked with their apps. Maybe because future idevices are rumored to not have a home button?
