Well, it's on their website now. The rumors tend to lead to disappointments when the real deal comes out. Rumors had the new models being about half a pound lighter. Looking at the new 13 inch it's not lighter. Also, some rumors of course claimed the SSD, and up to 12 hour battery life. The battery life of the new 13 is only 7 hours. IT HAS LESS BATTERY LIFE!!!!! More power though. I'm new to Macs, and just use mine for travel and 95% internet, so I'll stick to the new 13" Macbook Air I bought. I was thinking about selling my new Air model and buy a 13" Macbook Pro, but, I'll see what comes around next time. I'm also surprised they didn't make the Macbook Pro match the Macbook Air's resolution of 1440x900.

Im more interested in Thunderbolt aka LightPeak.
Readin' Intel's page, this will be provided to all and every developers of hardware. Frack me this is the new cabling format. I would certainly love to see single interconnect cable for all devices with such speed capabilities, that way i can downstream interconnect EVERY device in my household and still there will be "plenty of leftover performance".
Hope it is not bugged or whatever, so it catches up fast and completely annihilates other formats. Aww, excited already.
Hey bureaucrats of EU, time to change "mirco USB" for thunderbolt for all mobile devices :-D
P.S. Ppl who complain about less battery life - read about how the measurements are done now. It is different and more close to real usage. So i do believe, that it has actually more "worthwhile" battery life, than previous models.

I'm actually thinking about upgrading and selling my 2010 13" 2.66 to the new 13" 2.3. I guess I'll have to wait and see the benchmark comparisons.

NO standard SSD is lame. That's the only thing that would truly make a difference in day to day activities. I bet my 11" Air will open up apps faster than a top of the line 17" MBP.

Facetime is available on the AppStore however if Apple wants it to be widely adopted, they shouldn't be grabbing for the 99cents. I'll just stick with the Beta, it seems to work just fine for the very little I use it.MacMini Server 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo | 15" MacBook Pro 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo l iPhone 3G S⃣ 32 GB Black l TV Gen 2

"and support for the SDXC secure digital flash card standard"
I've always wondered, what does this mean? I can tell from these images that the new MacBook Pro, like mine from last year, has the same empty slot on the front left. Where can I get the support for SDXC, because there is not a SD slot built into the MacBook Pro, it's more like there is a port to add a slot.
