Mimoco USB Flash Drives Now Batman Approved
MMi Live @ MacWorld
Mimoco, maker of designer USB flash drives, has a huge selection of cute drives to choose from. They have a full lineup of Star Wars characters and Hello Kitty drives as well. But their latest creation is from Gotham City. In partnership with DC comics, Mimoco has created a limited edition vintage Batman Mimobot Flash Drive. They are available in 2, 4, 8 and 16 GB capacities ranging in price from $19.95 to $59.95. They also come with preloaded digital content including desktop wallpapers, icons, avatars, and screensavers.
“Straight from Gotham City, the grey and black-clad Vintage Batman MIMOBOT is styled after the icon character’s first appearance in Detective Comics #27, in May 1939.” The Dark Knight flash drive is available now.
Batman isn’t the only one getting the flash drive treatment. The Sanrio 50th Anniversary celebration collection is available and there are 18 different Star Wars characters to choose from as well. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that Boba Fett made it out of the Sarlacc pit in time to be made into a USB drive. Maybe next time. It’s nice to see a company having some fun with what is usually thought of as a utilitarian device. Mimoco’s cast of colorful characters brings a little bit of joy to an otherwise ordinary activity. The only problem now is deciding which one to pick.

Wow...that's cool..!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

If you ask me, $19.95 is too much for a 2GB Batman Man USB drive -_-

I know this 'chibi' thing is supposed to be cute... but in this specific case, it just makes batman look like a midget with manboobs.

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

I was just going to email this guy and ask if he even knows what jailbreak is or if he has ever done it. All I see is reviews of crappy products!!! Half of which don't even relate to the JB community.
Maybe you (Wiley) should think about writing articals for Good House Keeping or something

Why the hell is this "news" at all, much less on an Apple-centered website?

this is really cool but what does it have to do with iphone
01-29-2011, 01:23 PM #15
since everyone else is doing it i thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and ask how this is related to anything "i"?

I really don't see why people are complaining this much about the message.
I can understand the fact that the site is centered on Apple devices, but really, it doesn't take that much effort to just oversee and scroll past this message if you don't want to read it.
I think they are cool. If the price wouldn't be outrageously high, I would probably buy one for myself, but until they lower the price (if they do), I'll stick to my normal memory sticks.

They look pretty sweet, just wouldn't pay that much money for a 2GB FD!
No one is making you read the articles, so you have no room to complain. A lot of us enjoy the MacWorld updates that are posted. Thanks Wiley!

These seem neat wouldn't mind having one in some other characters, and who cares if it doesn't pertain to apple, it's just cool stuff at macworld, do your apple computers not have USB ports?
