Plans Announced for MacTech Boot Camp 2011

Plans were announced Friday by MacTech Magazine on their Boot Camp 2011 seminar, which will take place in San Francisco on Wednesday, January 26th - the eve of the MacWorld Expo. If you're unfamiliar with this particular event, MacTech Boot Camp is a "single-track, hotel based seminar that is specifically geared to serve the needs of consultants and techs wanting to serve their base better."
Admission to the MacTech Boot Camp will run you $495. Acting on or before December 15th, however, will allow prospective attendees to capitalize on early registration and save $200.00 (total registration would then run you $295). If you're confused by the recent "MacTech Conference," which is a longer, multi-day conference targeting IT Pros, Enterprise, and the developer community, MacTech Boot Camp, on the other hand, focuses less on large organizations and almost exclusively targets consultants and techs who "primarily spend their time in the home user, and small to medium sized business market."
During the day-long event, Apple certification tests will be available, in addition to a robust schedule serving up sessions that include the following:
- resources for finding answers
- backup systems and options
- client handling
- client documentation, passwords and records
- support call techniques
- marketing oneself in a community
- software updates
- remote support and access
- troubleshooting hardware
- networking basics
- Windows on the Mac options
- basic scripting
- iOS Support
- Viruses and Security
- basic command line
