Apple may be a jerk about jailbreaking (covertly now thanks to the ECC), but they have really niced up the app submission process recently. And on top of that this guy got to talk to Steve Jobs! OMFG I only wish.... Now if only Bill Gates were this supportave... lol

This news if missing a very important detail. So, did Steve help him fix the issue without using undocumented code or... what?

SJ told him it would be put back in the appstore if he dropped the use of the private API. Which he did.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

This story's a joke.
Dev gets upset.
He cry's at Apple.
Supposedly Steve Jobs calls him.
He final follows the App store guidelines that all of us app devs must follow.
How is this news exactly?!"We don't need bullets, We need Pie's"

Steve saw something in this app he wanted and wanted it in the store. Apple will end up buying this app from the dev and using it. Steve doesn't waste time on random apps unless he likes it and wants to see it approved. This was something on Steve's "to buy" list after he sees how it does in sales and so far I say this dev is on his way to a payday with an apple check. Remember that we are due up for a new ilife and this is just the kind of thing Steve can use in the package.
