Little confused, Has there been a way to unlock 4.1 on the iphone 3G?

Idk if someone already answered your question yet but the answer is yes but long. U needed to still be on a firmware lower than 4.1 to keep your baseband preserved and jailbreak with custom firmware using pwnage tool for Mac with the option to preserve the baseband checked. Once the preserve the baseband box is checked, continue with the process to creating your custom firmware. Then restore your iPhone in iTunes WITH THE CUSTOM FIRMWARE YOU JUST CREATED, and when it's done open Cydia and install the UltraSn0w unlock and you will be both jailbroken and unlocked on iOS 4.1!

Supposed to be graphics upgrades. Can't wait. WoW 4.0 patch was meant for 10.6.5 but it was not out by release so there is horrible lag unless graphics are adjusted.

I wonder what's going to change in the land of theming, now that I've learned the ins and outs of 4.1. I hope they don't put everything in .artwork files -- no one's been able to crack that one yet.

I'm not looking forward to seeing what will be broken on my theme.

But I do hope they give us the option to turn wifi off (or when we want, like say every 15 min) when the screen goes off. Persistent wifi drains the battery pretty quickly.

Don't think that's software related is it? I have it converted to hdmi then plugged to my tv, still had to get optical audio cord to get sound, don't think the mini port is made for audio and video... Then again, I don't know much about much:/

mini Displayport supports audio, but apple left that part out on the older macs, at least mid 09 and earlier. its a hardware limitation.
i'm not sure if they started doing it with the newer ones

EDIT:
the 2010, and some late 2009, macs support audio through the mini Displayport
so unless you have one of those, you'll need to use the optical audio out

That's because they're saving it for later iPhones since geohot released his bootrom exploit.
