soo.......based on specs would this qualify as a MacBox Pro or just a regular MacBox?
on a side note, why the F do apple desktops cost so damn much if you can buy the best of the best components for 1000 or so and load OSX on it?
on another side note, i'd like to see them build a budget macbook air with USPS Priority Mail envelopes.

Do you guys know the flash point of paper (cardboard)? The computer will fry long before it gets hot enough to burn up that box...

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

It's clever, but why's everybody acting like it's so novel? People have been building their own PCs for years.

U guys want tutorials? Go to insanelymac.com or kext.com to find out how to make a hackintosh. I was tired of Windows and did not have enough money to buy a Mac - so I upgraded my hp a6300t and installed OSX86 and have never looked back.
I highly recommend at least 4GB of RAM with a minimum of 2GB. 4GB will allow you to run in 64bit mode more smoothly. I have a somewhat dated computer with 2GB so I force 32bit mode.
PC Prices + Apple OS = WIN

Now you see why apple products are magical. The magic is getting the extra money out of your pocket for a pretty shell instead of a cardboard box.

i also get a warranty
best customer service
and i dont have to worry about driver issues..
You may have spent $900 for building the PC
but what about the monitor?
thats another $200-$500
I had a pc, i had a hackintosh, but it feels so generic..i went with the original..

It's joke that people are like cardboard doesn't catch fire till 400c or w/e. For those people. Read between the lines. Seriously. Because no one cares that you can type it in google and make everyone happy. No offense.

Where do you get 200-500 for a monitor? I just bought a 22inch widescreen Samsung LED for 160. I'd say at most 300 for a monitor of you're really maxing it out.
Plus, you have customer service when you build your own: yourself. Typically if you build a computer you can troubleshoot what comes at you, or at least Google it.
You also get warranties from the companies you get the parts from. Ex: XFX gives you lifetime warranties.
I get the safety aspect with customer service and drivers and all of that, but it's just not worth an extra $1800 for it. That's your MacBook price right there. The argument or statement, which is well known, being made my Hackintosh is that Apple charges an obscene amount for parts we know to be cheap.

Cardboard isnt going to burn, I would be more worried about the very likely chance that it is going to gain a static charge and fry the crap out of that motherboard.
