I will get one the moment Apple makes a tablet pc (no, the iPad isnt it).
I got tired of waiting and got the 2740. It is awesome. Lots of CPU power, decent battery life (I measured 5 hours with moderate use), excellent connectivity (3 USB, firewire, SD), multi-touch capacitive screen, A WACOM DIGITIZER (beautiful) and a very good kbd. All in a nice case that satisfies MIL specs. Not bad. (but expensive )

This is what I was waiting for when Apple released the iPad and killed my dreams. Didn't Jobs say there were no plans for a multi-touch enabled Mac or MacBook device right after the first generation of iPhones and iPods were released?

HP's had tablet PCs for years, but not multi-touch (stylus interface). My doctor's office uses them. VERY efficient for transferring patient data. Google "Tablet PC" and hit "images".
