Mac Pro Unavailable... Is a Refresh FINALLY Coming?

What are some of you talking about.... tell me one laptop that has and can do more stuff than my Macbook Pro....

Tell me one laptop that is CHEAPER than my Macbook Pro that can last 8 to 9 hours, can run both windows and osx, has audio, video, picture editing out of the box.... has all the things of my mac... including a huge multi-touch trackpad.... backlit keyboard.... nvidia graphics, slot-loaded drive... firewire, sd, bluetooth, webcam as good as the macs...

anyone give me at least one laptop that is cheaper and has all this.....

Well, guess what? On the tech specs on the Apple Website...

MacBook lasts for up to 10 hours.

MacBook Pro lasts for up to 8-9 hours.

I don't see any company beating Apple in battery life for now.

No, no, no macbook pro 13 inch last 10 hours too..... so they all beat other laptops...

My first stint into apple was a hackintosh.
I still use it to do some low level music composing on logic 9.

1 x 1 Tb
1 x 500gb

Nvidia gforce6600

Audiophile (don't remember the number) soundcard.

Leopard 10.5.8

Runs everything perfectly

Including wifi

Quartz extreme. Et al.

And it cost me way way way less than a macpro at the time I built it - 2 years ago.

Of course - I bought a mbp and a Mac pro after that. But the effort to build this hack and the fact that it works great till date is awesome. I'm gonna add a FireWire pci card soon and see if it works !!!

So "jai ho" to apple and Mac but also a small but significant "jai ho" to hackintosh community.
