Cupidtino Takes Aim at Apple Fanboys and Fangirls

Apple fanboys and fangirls may take offense to being called "geeks," but a new dating website is about to be launched that will help said "Apple geeks" find more than just one another. Perhaps they will also find love. Stupid? Yes. But "Cupidtino" is the buzz of the blogosophere today, despite sounding like the premise of a bad Saturday Night Live skit.
In a nutshell, Cupidtino is a social network for Apple fanboys and fangirls to find romance beneath the rubric of a shared interest - all things Apple. Hoping to make hearts glow like our beloved LED-illuminated screens, Cupidtino is certainly poised to become an innovative online community when it officially launches next month.
For now, the folks behind Cupidtino are drafting beta users to "test out" the site, all the while its being hyped and promoted everywhere from Twitter to Facebook. It goes without saying, of course, that Cupidtino will be available "exclusively" on Apple platforms – Safari, iPhone and iPad apps.We created the first Mac-inspired dating site to help you find other Machearts around you.
While it may sound like a joke, most of us are aware of online dating success stories that have blossomed in the chat rooms and online platforms that are otherwise incessantly advertised on television these days. A few of my married friends, in fact, have even met via social networks that helped them realize just how much they have in common. Could this happen with Cupidtino? Perhaps it will. And the result could be extraordinary. After all, if Apple fanboys and fangirls meet and begin to breed, we can create a super-colony of Apple fan babies, giving rise to a whole new slate of products, like iDiapers and iPacifiers.
The possibilities are truly endless.

This is obviously going to result in solely "faboys" meeting "fanboys" - what else did you expect from California?

We all know one thing, Apple will never make any sex toys because, well... That just wouldn't be appropriate!

How long before Apple sues over the name. I am sure they own their own city by now. So they must own the rights to the name and this is a little to close for comfort.
