New Macbook Pros with Core i5 & i7 Processors

Today Apple gave some major internal hardware upgrades to their Macbook Pro line. The 15" and 17" models now come standard with Intel Core i5 processors and each is further upgradeable to a Core i7. All the models received better batteries with up to 10 hours of use on the 13" and 8-9 hours on the larger models. The 13" model now has an upgraded NVIDIA GeForce 320M video card and the 15"/17" get a GT 330M. The processor on the 13" model remains the Core 2 Duo with a slight speed bump. All models now come with 4GB of DDR3 RAM standard.Last edited by Poseidon79; 04-13-2010 at 08:53 AM.

Actually the 13in has faster core 2 duo's than the last one. 2.26 and 2.53 are the old ones. 2.40 and 2.66 are the new ones. 10 hour battery is looking really nice in the 13in. Ordering mine today. 13in 2.4ghz, 4gb RAM, 500GB harddrive, iwork family pack.

"The new 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro models are up to 50 percent faster than the previous systems.** Using Intel’s state-of-the-art 32 nanometer process, Intel Core i5 and i7 processors integrate the memory controller and Level 3 cache for faster access to system memory."
So sexy and so fast! Can't wait to get one!Last edited by steve-z17; 04-13-2010 at 09:17 AM.

My 13" 2.53 MBP is still running like it's brand new. The upgraded video card doesn't mean anything to be since I do all my graphics on my desktop. It's not worth upgrading just for a couple extra hours of battery life. Maybe when they put a Core i5 in there I'll spring for it.
