Apple Banning "Overtly Sexual" Content on App Store
Apple has reportedly started to remove titles from its App Store that it determines are "overtly sexual." This supposedly comes in response to "numerous complaints" from customers about sexual content on the App Store, and came to light this week after John Atherton (aka ChilliFresh), got a rejection letter from for his "Wobble iBoobs" app.
TechCrunch's Jason Kincaid picked up the story after being alerted by Atherton, and did some careful research for his report. Kincaid found that many apps with titles suggesting adult content (e.g. “Beautiful Boobs”, “Sexy Girls Uncovered”, and “Sex Strip”) remain available for download, while some others such as “Exotic Positions” and “Sexy Women” now give errors when you try to download them. Despite the fact that "Wobble iBoobs (Premium Uncensored)" - which allows users to add "jiggle points" to photos - has been available for over six months, hasn't been changed or updated in all that time, and has been downloaded over 970,000 times, Apple has only now determined that it is not "suitable for distribution." According to the letter Atherton received, the ban is due to complaints Apple has received.
The App Store continues to evolve, and as such, we are constantly refining our guidelines. Your application, Wobble iBoobs (Premium Uncensored), contains content that we had originally believed to be suitable for distribution. However, we have recently received numerous complaints from our customers about this type of content, and have changed our guidelines appropriately.
We have decided to remove any overtly sexual content from the App Store, which includes your application.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you believe you can make the necessary changes so that Wobble iBoobs (Premium Uncensored) complies with our recent changes, we encourage you to do so and resubmit for review.

Yes, this is great. Thank you Apple. Sex is nothing but pure evil, and anyone who partakes in it is doing the Devil's will and shall find themselves in the Pit Of Hell. With that said, babies come from the iStork (now available for $199 with a 2 yr contract, $499 unsubsidized, but who's gonna buy one without a service plan?)

Finaly the pornographic trash I gone from the app stor. But banning stuff like this in theory should ban apples own iTunes store for crappy racist or sexualy abusive music. The same goes for safari I can get to same crapy music and the same crapy porn and on top of that in safari you can get real porn. It's called a doubble standard. How ever I am not defending the porn apps i want them gone too.

Stop pulling religion out of your A#S!
No matter what the app is, YOU have to download it and install it. If you dont like it or what it is about, stay away and leave it to others who do like it.

I personally do not like this. Actually, I'm not a fan of being controlled. If I want these apps, I should have access to them. If I want a religious app, I should be allowed to. Please do not censor me. Regardless of my opinion, censorship stinks!

Point is...dont touch it if you dont like it. Dont pretend to be protecting anyone, who is of age, from "porn" or questionable content.

If you want porn go to the web! The App Store is for apps. Everyday there are dozens more "Asian Boob" or "College Girls" this and that apps. What a waste of time and effort putting those out there. Clutters up the store and makes it hard to find usefull stuff. Its because of all these bull apps that everyone makes fun of the App Store. Get rid of it all!MacBook Pro i7

whats the purpose of having the adult filter on the app store if its still rejecting and removing apps because there overtly sexual this is the dumbest thing i ever heard and makes me sick. dont have the stupid over 17 thing and then tell us what we cant download.

Though I do find it annoying having to scroll through BS apps like fart soundboards or girls in bikinis.. I still don't believe that they should censor the app store. I'm sick and tired of all these people wanting to "protect children and young teens from porn" ..at what cost, mine? Remove all the redundant crap-apps, all those stupid fart/sound boards, bikini apps, etc.. and the same for any app that has 10+ variations. Seriously.. do I need 10 different versions of a basic calculator? Gah.. More and more the App Store is looking more childish and the reason why there's so many crap apps is because there's people out there thinking they can make tons of money submitting an app. That's why there's so much junk. /rant

They should have made a toggle to block adult apps. I know there is parental control features but it would block apps that are not sexual in nature

I was just thinking about this myself the other day.... I said to myself what in the world is Apple doing letting all of these dev's post apps like this? Nothing but trashy apps anyway... I would rather see good apps taking the places of these types of apps!

These apps have been the cause of many broken iphone screens from users with a case of the left hand drops .
