That's so typical of apple. Create a great idea and then mess it up by making something that is incompatible with everything else. Pretty sad, really. They have lost so many opportunities to be the market dominant force in computing. It seems SJ is only interested in his ego, after all.

i just bought one of these freaking awesome 27 inch imacs. i would like to also be able to connect my two other macs though they dont use displayport. anyway the imac is sweet!

When I first heard that the 27-inch iMac can accept video inputs, I seriously began to think about getting one to use as a display for my Xbox 360. I already have an 20-inch iMac previous to this generation and I was willing to upgrade. However, with this new information, I won't be getting one. Too bad, Apple. You lost one sale.

apple stans will say or do anything to support the apple brand, they even support the technological slavery that apple is known for. People could say if you don't like the product just don't buy it but when I already invested a great deal of money in software and other stuff it's only fair to cripple me as the company goes along.
