Unreleased MacBook Pro Secrets Revealed?

Moments ago, our friends at MacRumors revealed that the yet-to-be released MacBook Pro 6,1 and 6,2 are referenced in Mac OS X 10.6.2.
How do we know? It turns out a discovery was made of support files for the unreleased MacBook Pros in the latest Mac OS X 10.6.2 developer builds.
Some potentially exciting news, is it not?The 10C531 build was first seeded to developers just a few days ago, and appears to include references to MacBook Pro 6,1 and MacBook Pro 6,2 models that have not yet been released.
Although some have speculated that we may have to wait a while for Apple's next major notebook update to be rolled out, others (like myself) think Apple wants to deflate the sails of every competitor (including Microsoft and their new retail endeavors) before the holiday shopping season begins in full by unleashing as many new products and updates as the folks in Cupertino can possibly crank out.
The release last week of Win7 has pushed Apple into overdrive with longstanding plans that only now will probably see the light of day. This reality, of course, comes as bittersweet news to those for whom new products and upgrades could mean a host of new, ill-timed expenses in order to experience the latest offerings that come awfully close to the last round of new offerings from Apple.Meanwhile, the latest shipping MacBook Pros carry a 5,x model number designation. The MacBook Pros were last updated in June 2009 and have not been rumored to see any imminent updates. Previous reports, however, have suggested that suitable Nehalem (Core i7) based processors could be feasible for MacBook Pros by late 2009/early 2010.
But progress is progress... and Apple is aiming for as much of it as consumers can possibly afford.
Image via MacRumorsMost expect that Apple's next major notebook update will include these next-generation processors that have already found their way into the Mac Pro and iMac product lines. Traditionally, the MacBook Pro and iMac lines have been very closely linked in capabilities due to their similarly slim designs.

with apple you just never know when the new releases are! As until now it was only rumored that new iMac and MacBooks would be released, as they did last week... I just bought a new shinny MacBook Pro thinking that an update wouldnt be coming soon... but now???! Guess I gotta sell it again and buy the new one

^^^ Won't happen before January. They will most likely announce them at the same time as the rumored tablet perhaps.
