I have to say that the better technology there is the better things will get for everyone because this advancements will lead up to even more advancements and new things...It might seem like a whole lot right now but hey, we don't know what this could lead up to, i'm really looking forward for what's next!

Been waiting for intel to release this chip, it will be a good upgrade from my q6600. Should see some impressive gains with vray and such. I wanted to wait for an 8 core, but it might be a while.
that's a pretty ridiculous claim. The market for high end processors is MUCH MUCH larger in the enthusiest and server PC crowd. While I'm sure apple would move a few of them in future mac pros, Intel would be shooting themselfs in the foot by making it an exclusive chip... especially since AMD already has a 6core processor avalible to the publicWhat's more, MacBidouille's source indicates that Apple will have exclusive use of the new chip when it's released, making the future Mac Pro - temporarily at least - a power leader in the industry.
