^^ i wouldnt expect a quad core 2 make alot of heat unless ur over clocking
or doing extreme tasks

I have to say that the better technology there is the better things will get for everyone because this advancements will lead up to even more advancements and new things...It might seem like a whole lot right now but hey, we don't know what this could lead up to, i'm really looking forward for what's next!

Been waiting for intel to release this chip, it will be a good upgrade from my q6600. Should see some impressive gains with vray and such. I wanted to wait for an 8 core, but it might be a while.
What's more, MacBidouille's source indicates that Apple will have exclusive use of the new chip when it's released, making the future Mac Pro - temporarily at least - a power leader in the industry.
