Mac OS X Snow Leopard's First Update, 10.6.1 released
Seems like the new OS, Snow Leopard was released just yesterday and now there's even an update for it! Makes me think that Apple is really dedicated towards the stability of this OS as that's the only new 'feature' present since Leopard... Weighing at just 75.1 MB, this is the first major security update for the OS.

The update includes a number of bug fixes, including some major issues reported like Printer incompatibility and the flash player being downgraded to a vulnerable version!
Here's a list of the fixes:
- Improves compatibility with some Sierra Wireless 3G modems
- Addresses an issue in which some printer compatibility drivers might not appear properly in the Add Printer browser
- Addresses an issue that might cause DVD playback to stop unexpectedly
- Addresses an issue that might make it difficult to remove an item from the Dock
- Resolves an issue in which the Command-Option-T keyboard shortcut would sometimes bring up the special characters menu in applications such as Mail and TextEdit
- Addresses instances in which auto account setup in Mail might not work
- Resolves issues when sending mail with certain SMTP servers
- Addresses an issue in which Motion 4 could become unresponsive
- Includes an update to Adobe Flash Player plug-in version 10.0.32.18
I bet that they have already started working on getting the 10.6.2 seeds out real soon! Stay tuned!

LOL, All they do is WAIT.
They wait on Apple to release a new sw update, wait for the next firmware release, or wait for a cattle prod from Geohot, etc..
They have posted more WAIT announcements and any hacker on the net. Perhaps they should be called the "iPhone Wait Team".
While I justly credit them with numerous achievements and successes.. this is just a satirical observation that is more truth than fiction.
Or for you those of you void of objectivity (a life) or have repressed and/or latent sexual tendencies…. This is your opportunity to flame to the defense of the men our obsessing over.

It's great that Apple is being so supportive of Snow Leopard, but they didn't fix the multi-touch, 4-Finger exposé glitch yet. Loads of people have a problem with it, but I guess somehow It dropped off Apple's radar.
Here's to hoping 10.6.2 comes by soon, and with a fix

I guess apple likes the 'shove it out the door instead of making a quality product' process. POS apple products.

Security fix? Who cares if it is the least secure of all OS. Nobody wants to waste the time to hack the damn thing, and that is fine by me. One less thing for me to worry about

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

10.6.1 seems to have fixed those nasty crashes I've encountered in almost every app with 10.6. Apps would just crash every second time I tried to open/save anything.
