store.apple.com is down. When it goes back live possibly expect a new iPod to be sitting in there waiting for you to buy it

FYI iPhone software update servers are also sporadically offline as they load up 3.1 firmware for download.

if they're fixing the os, i sure as hell won't update without a jailbreak available.
seems a bit early for the new ipod release because isn't there still an ipod deal for the kiddies at the education store? surely apple will put that to bed before the new machine is available.
