Also confirmed: Installing Snow Leopard upgrade disc on Tiger is illegal

The language of the EULA is pretty clear (h/t Joe Kissell):"If you have purchased an Upgrade for Mac OS X Leopard license, then subject to the terms and conditions of this License, you are granted a limited non-exclusive license to install, use and run one (1) copy of the Apple Software on a single Apple- branded computer as long as that computer has a properly licensed copy of Mac OS X Leopard already installed on it."Anyway, they do throw everything but the kitchen sink on there for $149.99:
- Mac OS X 10.6
- iPhoto '09
- iMovie '09
- GarageBand '09
- iWeb '09
- iDVD
- Pages '09
- Numbers '09
- Keynote '09

Anyone know if you can do a clean install with Snow Leopard? I have Leopard OSX already and wanted to do clean install. Is this just an "upgrade" or not.

hmm looks like i'll be attempting to install this on my sister's tiger (after installing on my leopard) that's like a double jail time?

Normally I would say I am sure you can clean install, but given the apparent arbitrariness of Apple's policies lately, who knows.
Since you can upgrade from Tiger, I am going to guess that the upgrade disk is no different than a full copy. Looks like the honor system applies here.Oh, that's what that is!

Word on many sites say that you can do a clean install. Which I plan on doing this weekend with my copy. I love starting fresh when upgrading, gives me that "OOOOOOOOOO new computer!!!!" feeling again.

So people running Tiger might as well just pirate Snow Leopard since they're breaking the law anyway?

I'm gonna burn a bootleg copy of my OEM Tiger disk, reformat off my BOOTLEG Tiger disk, then upgrade straight to snow leo, completely eliminating my current 10.6 setup.
Side note: Apple knows good and damn well they aren't going to sell two OS's at once.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning
