[RUMOR] iTunes 9 to include Blu-ray support, better app organizationIn Apple's notebook keynote on October 14th 2008 we heard Steve Jobs say: "Blu-ray is just a bag of hurt. It's great to watch the movies, but the licensing of the tech is so complex, we're waiting till things settle down and Blu-ray takes off in the marketplace."
Ten months down the road, BoyGenius have received word from an (obviously) anonymous source that Apple have gone with the flow and may finally integrate Blu-ray into the next version of their media player, iTunes 9.
Other apparently leaked features include:
- Better visual organization for your installed iPhone/iPod applications
- Twitter, Facebook, last.fm integration
As with all rumors, the timeframe in which iTunes 9 will be announced/released remains unconfirmed, but patience, we haven't got too long a wait ahead of us until Apple's iPod keynote which takes place every fall.

App organization would be pretty sweeet. I wouldn't have to deal with moving it around on my iPhone.
Hit "Thanks" if I helped

About time, I recently got a netflix account and only get movies in blu-ray. They dont have the good ones available via streaming. I dont always have time to download other movies either. I like how I can add new/future movies to my que that arent even released to dvd/blu-ray yet. (and yes I download stuff too) Having it built into itunes would be fun for my laptop. Maybe you can auto post to twitter/facebook what you're watching for kix. Right now I use PowerDVD 9 and Media Center on my Windows 7 Home Theater PC. They have a plugin that lets you announce which tv show/dvd you're watching. (twitter/facebook)

App organization would be awesome as I have hundreds off apps and can't ever find the one I want. grr! Blue Ray is retarded unless you're watching it on a 60" HDTV screen with 7.1 surround sound. yay!

I get some severe performance issues with the iTunes application window. My computer acts like a Pentium 2 when I try to scroll through my apps (I have a Quadcore & GTX260).
Anyone else have this issue?

I'm guessing you would have to pay more for blu-ray movies. I agree with watching blu-ray on large screen TV's are better than lets say, a laptop. I hope features are more enhanced on iTunes 9!

There's no "e" in "Blu-Ray" people.
