I'm on iTunes 8.2.1 now and just updated my friends iPod Touch 2G to 3.0 from 2.2.1 and re-jailbroke with Redsn0w 7.2 if this is any interest to anyone. Not in the mood to restore my iPhone 3G at the moment but maybe tomorrow!!

Caution!!! Caution!!! Caution
Ok so I installed iTunes 8.2.1 this morning, and I just finished a successful complete restore, jailbreak, unlock and sync.
Here are my details:
-iPhone 3G 8gig
-3.0 firmware restore through iTunes 8.2.1
-Jailbreak w/ redsn0w 0.7.2, because 0.8 just never worked real well for me
-Unlock w/ ultrasn0w 0.8 to T-Mobile Prepaid US
-Also did a option+click .ipcc update to get T-Mobile prepaid SMS/Tethering/Edge working
So far so good for me, but I guess it still remains to be seen if the update affects 3GS's or future unlock for 3.1 firmware. Hope this helps anyone that accidentally updated.Last edited by Poseidon79; 07-16-2009 at 09:53 AM.

A new update! Oh boy, oh jee! Golly gosh!
Do you think it will fix the time it takes to open iTunes?
Do you think it will fix the initial mini system crash everytime I open iTunes?
Do you think it will fix the album art taking ages to appear (not to mention the album art is never the right one)?
Do you think it will fix the horrendous lag when I select 'applications' or 'Ryan's iPhone' too ambitiously after I plug my phone in?
Do you think it will fix me having to add new albums, folder by folder, to avoid it adding everything again, including album art checks?
Do you think it will fix iTunes maximizing itself every 30 seconds when I update or restore my iPhone?
Do you thin.... oh whatever.
