Apple Updates White Macbook Secretly (AGAIN)

Click the image to open in full size.

It's been awhile since Apple updated the white MacBook. The last update - which too was a secret one - consisted of a bump to the processor, RAM, graphics, and finally, bluetooth hardware.Nothing major, just a bit better than before.

This time, Apple has updated the processor from 2.0 GHz to 2.13 GHz, tossed in an extra 40 GB Hard Drive Space (160 GB - up from 120 GB). The RAM got bumped from 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM to 2GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM.

Battery life has also been upgraded from 4.5 hours to 5 hours now. This new model meets the Energy Star Version 5.0 requirements and is now rated EPEAT Gold, up from Silver before.

The ports have no changes. These updates aren't that major - seems to be another small preparation for Snow leopard release.

Second! Woo!!

These micro-upgrades are worthless. No one in the real world will be able to tell the difference with 130Mhz increase on a Core2Duo.

.... yup i30mhz doesnt really make much of a difference, if it was something like another extras500 / 800mhz now that would be a good thing there would be a difference in performance.

2 gb ram sounds good and 40gb extra not a bad thing i guess the extra space is worth something...

It already had 2GB of RAM... the difference is in the bandwidth, which doesn't matter unless the CPU FSB increased accordingly.

Finally, a Mac I can use. However, don't have all the money to spring for it right now. And has anyone really ever financed one of these for 3 and a half years? $23 payments come out to 43 months. Anyway, it's always good to see improvements no matter how great or small.
