Just installed on macbook 2ghz core duo. No problems. Can't speak for dfu mode, but syncing works fine, but install was quick 7 or 8 minutes. everything seems to work just peachy.

Ok, before I did the install, I tried using "Software Update", and it was saying it was going to take anywhere from 2-8 hours. WTF. SO i went to the Apple website, and downloaded it directly. Restarted and it stayed at the Blue screen w/ the "rotating loading circle" for about 20 minutes. I knew somethign was wrong, but didn't want to interrupt the installation process. Then I just gave up and restarted manually. Then it rebooted on it's on a couple of times. I log in and my custom theme was still there.

Normally I have to reinstall the files manually, but they were still there. Checks "About This Mac" and it was 10.5.7, so I guess I'm okay.

I strongly suggest downloading the Combo Update. I did the delta update and ended up with a kernel panic (Gray Screen of Death) caused by a kernel extension version mismatch (AppleIntelPowerManagement). Fortunately I was able to upgrade my emergency OS on an external drive with the combo update and copy over the kernel extensions. Then I had to reapply the combo update to my main drive. Seems the delta update is causing people lots of grief.
Also, noticed that the IOUSBEthernet.kext was updated so I suspect this will fix the DFU issue people were having (haven't tried it yet)

I used the delta update and got a flashing blue/white screen. Stayed like that for a while so i decided to do a hard reset. After the hard reset i got the apple logo and the spinning wheel then it reseted by itself. It then got to the log in screen then resetted by itself one more time. Then, i got a real long boot up and everything seems to be okay. Now my MBP just takes longer to boot up. Should i dl the combo package and reinstall?

Used the combo update and had no issues. I was running 10.5.6 with DFU fix and have also lots of third party system mods. No issues at all. I would suggest the combo. I haven't heard anybody upgrading with the combo having problems
