While it looks nice, I've used Firefox way too long to turn my back on it now... It seems to me like Safari is constantly having to fix security bugs/holes... I know that Firefox has them too, but if I'm going to have to pick a web browser, I'd rather stick to something I know that I trust than give it up for some glitter and glam... Just my opinion.

I would really love to try this out, but wont bother if the DFU mode wont work on my phone.
Do what cash said or use a USB hub. $5-10 bucks.

The new safari looks freakishly awesome, i downloaded it this AM, but I haven't had a chance to use it. :-( SO I'm watching the board and listening to you guys tell me EVERYTHING about it.

Question: Does anyone think it'll ever have something like "No Script" (Firefox) installed on it?

Thanks sooo much. The blue bar is the thing I needed back

Mail will crash if growl is installed. Apparently Hotmail doesn't render... otherwise it's a great improvement.

Growl is a notification system for Mac OS X: it allows applications that support Growl to send you notifications.

Can someone please upload the file for me if it's not too much trouble. I still don't understand how Firefox and Safari 3 download everything else, but then they get to the Safari 4 download page, say "Thank you for downloading Safari 4", but don't give me the file.

Those commands are safe and do work.

BTW, rm -rf / (recursively force delete everything from the root down) only works if you are the root user. SunOS once had a bug which would do the same thing if you issued: "rm -rf *" from anywhere in the file system. It would traverse to ".." which is the parent directory and then keep going until it reached "/"

I already posted on "how to get topsites as your homepage", either open top sites and in your preferences click "set to current page", or just make your homepage "topsites:///"

Ah I see it now, kind of a strange place to put it but I feel happier now knowing where it is
