Sorry for the lame quality photos - we had a slick camera all set up and ready, and last minute technical difficulties (as in, WHILE we were sitting down to start taking photos) screwed that French poodle hard. :/ So you get iPhone photos...

Learn to play a D. Garage Band makes Guitar Heroes into guitar heroes.

This guy makes Macbook and MBP batteries. After hearing about the new 8 hour battery life in the 17" MBP coming out late January, you love him.

Longest battery life. Ever.

Blurry, but beautiful. 6.6 lbs make the 17" MBP the lightest 17" notebook on Earth. Which probably makes it the lightest in the universe. Unless Venusians are manufacturing really light 17" notebooks lately. Venusians?

iLife 09. Free with any new Mac.

Sting sings simple songs. You learn them on guitar. $4.99.

Phil Schiller is not Steve Jobs.

Man I hate blurry photos. The new iMovie rights most of the wrongs the last one did.

New charts in Keynote.

iMovie has a cool feature where you tell it where you started and ended your trip, and it makes an animated globe - very Indiana Jones-esque, minus the airplanes.

The view from the middle.

Geolocating in iPhoto.

Faces. iPhoto knows who you're watching.

Glass trackpad on new MBP's.

Blurry proof that you can share iWork documents to anyone with a major browser.

$169 gets you Leopard, iWork, and iLife.

Terribly Disappointed
I was expecting so much more. way to go out with a bang.
Now stocks will drop, so i feel like i got hit with two punches to the gut.
I dont know about anybody else, but when the hell are they going to announce that automatic update? I never use AIM because it's stupid how it only works when the program is turned on (besides for running backgrounder). they promised to have that out a long time ago (say september) and it is still not discussed. Loopt is stupid because the program has to be opened for the location to update.
Several programs would be much more interesting if the iphone pushed more than just emails. also i was a little excited for maybe a 32 gig iphone. i know copy / paste is too much to ask for but give us SOMETHING.

No new iphone... new iphone mini, no new iMacs, nothing truely inovative. I'm extremely disappointed.

I don't know about you guys, but iTunes becoming DRM-free is HUGE (in my opinion). And the new MBP (8 hours battery life mother of God this is HUGE on 17" laptop) is pretty awesome (and so, so expensive). And if you honestly believed the iPhone nano rumors, well then there's no helping you.
And to be honest, reactions like the ones found here is exactly why they're not doing it anymore. It's extremely stressful for a company to keep throwing innovation and something new every 6-12 months to coincide with their big events. Now they can work at their own pace and release new things when they're ready rather than promise something and fall short of the mark (push update, I'm still waiting on you)
