i have been looking on the apple website for a macbooook pro and i noticed that if i buy an american macbook its about £200 cheaper
so what i want to know is if i buy an amerivan version, could i get a UK charger and will it work fine in the UK?

Just find a uni student and u will get about 17% off anyway. Plus discount off AppleCare or software. I'm getting mine in a month or so

Yes it would work , they are 110w to 220w .You wont need a converter just get uk charger .
I got mine 3 days ago with $100 off and free ipod touch , I LOVE MY MACBOOK.
