    Default Desktop speakers

    What types of speakers do you guys use? I had been using the Harman Kardon SoundSticks II pretty much since they came out...but something happened during a move and the sub/wiring sustained some damage. Either way I'm in the market for something new...sub $200, with plenty of bass.

    I just bought a pair of the iHome capsule speakers (model IHM77B) for my laptop. If you appreciate sound at all, you will not buy these speakers. They sound cheap and ALWAYS have a hiss present when music is not playing. They are, however, rechargeable and very compact, and will serve as external speakers in the most desperate circumstances. Price: around $50.00

    I have my computer hooked up to a pair of Samson 3i speakers, which are studio monitors with USB audio in and a built in iPod dock to charge. Retail on them is $149 I think and they rock.
