Hi, so I upgraded my powerbook g4 to leopard a few months ago and right now I'm on 10.5.1. I wanna upgrade to 10.5.6 but it breaks dfu mode, so im wondering if there is a way i can only update to 10.5.4 or 10.5.5? any help?Wanna-be coder/iphone user since '08

Thanks a ton, it worked fine. My computer froze a little during the installation but its fine now. Also there were 2 10.5.4 updates on apples website but one was much bigger than the other so I downloaded that and its working great.Wanna-be coder/iphone user since '08

Ok, so i just bought an iMac G5 with OSX 10.5.6 installed on it, but the previous guys name and that still show up, so i would like to do a clean install.
Also i noticed that Bootcamp seems to be missing, so i can only assume he deleted it.
Problem is, when i put in the OSX disc and hit restart, it reboots but ejects the disk before loading up the installer.
Am i doing something wrong?

I'd go to 10.5.6. There are work arounds for the DFU mode issue. either use a USB hub or d/l the older USB drivers from Apple. No biggie.

Any like "wow" differences between 10.5.4 and 10.5.6?Wanna-be coder/iphone user since '08

Not sure really, but probably stability updates, bug fixes, security fixes, etc.
If the DFU issue is your only hang up, its easily worked around.
